Christian Kolonovits was born in 1952 in Rechnitz as the son of a Croatian father and Hungarian mother. Starting at the age of five, he took piano lessons. After high school, he studied at the “Wiener Musikhochschule.” During his studies, he worked as a studio musician, bar pianist, and played in several bands.

In the 90’s, symphonic works became his musical emphasis. Projects with considerable international orchestras as well as various projects like “V.S.O.P.” (Wiener Symphoniker) and Moment of Glory (Berlin Philharmonic / Scorpions) became famous around the world. In 2003, he composed the “Linzer Klangwolke.” He continues to write music for theatrical and television productions.
